A 7 Year Old Birthday Party, Robbinsville NJ Child Photographer

The day started so early for you.  I’m always having to drag you out of bed for school but today, you were up on your own at 6AM.  So early in fact that I hadn’t yet had a chance to go downstairs and photograph all the details that I spent time the night before getting ready for you.  I quickly got dressed, went downstairs, threw open the blinds and tried to let the light in.  In your room, you were excitedly putting on your ‘7’ shirt.  One of your favorite bling items, you love that it has your age and Grandma has made sure you have one every year.  A few balloon tosses and you wanted to go downstairs and ‘check it out’.

I laughed as I watched you come down the stairs with your eyes closed so you wouldn’t ruin the surprise.  Your smile as you looked at all your decorations blew me away.

You loved your balloons, cards, and gifts.  You have been waiting impatiently to open that Frozen Lego set forever, according to you 🙂  Your favorite balloons where the big ones (you counted 7 pinks, 1 big 7 and a birthday cake), and the ones that have your name.  Daddy showed you a trick to blowing them up, and that’s your favorite one.  Even your brother has to stay away from it.

And speaking of which, he woke up late for once and came down to wish you happy birthday.  Upon spying all the decorations, he welcomed the day with the words…”what the heck happened here?”  Daddy and I still can’t stop laughing.

We went to your school for a special treat.  You picked the book, “If you Give a Cat a Cupcake.” for me to read.  I’m not surprised.  You adore cats and this book.  Your class was so welcoming, Andrew walked right in with his ‘Team Awesome’ shirt on and you were quick to hug him and introduce him to your friends.  After we took turns reading (but we read the last page together), it was time for pretzels and juice.  You picked those out.  And all your friends wanted a picture with you.  I beamed, knowing how much that meant.

After school, we finished the day with pizza, sausage of course, at DiLorenzo’s.  Followed by ice cream…chocolate with sno-caps and white chocolate chips.  There’s no pictures of that, because I wanted to just relish being with you.  So those memories are in my mind forever.  You gave this day 5 stars and declared it the best ever.  Love you E.
