When your friend’s husband calls you up and tells you that he wants to plan something special for their 13th wedding anniversary, you can’t help but count yourself lucky. He could have done a number of special surprises and I’m sure she would have loved it! But to involve you in the hoax to get her to the special location, and then stay to document everything…that meant so much!
We started off with a photo shoot that we do for extended family every 2 years. It is always chaotic and fun. Then I had to get them to the second location, where a picnic party was getting set up and friends and family were going to show up. I’m sure my excuses and reasons for switching locations must have sounded crazy, but somehow it all worked out. And she was shocked. Just a little. It was such a fun party. The kids had a blast playing on the playground, and there was ice cream. Enough said.
