My oldest is starting first grade this year and was very excited to get prepped for her first day. Usually, this involves picking out clothes, getting a haircut, labeling all the school supplies, you know the usual. This year it also involved painting her nails – with an atypical partner for it, Daddy. Elizabeth purchased nail polish with money she received from the tooth fairy. Pink of course. And we had some blue around the house so Daddy got the masculine nail polish. Hmm. Those are not words I thought I would put together for a blog post anytime soon! Once she was finished prettying up his feet, she got her pink pedicure. And loved it. Momma just kept snapping away and laughing. I know two things: my daughter’s excitement is infectious and makes my heart sing, and I have the best hubby and Daddy ever.
