Creating Time Capsules for 2015, NJ Family Photographer

It’s always good to have photography goals and resolutions.  And I’ve nailed some.  Project 365 {taking one photo/day for a whole year} yep, did that 2 years ago.  Getting in the photo once a week with my kids – epic fail.  Updating family pictures while on vacation – yep, check!  Printing heirloom albums for the kids – work in progress.

But I’ve never really had video goals.  I get out the camera on Christmas morning and whenever there was an important milestone to be had.  But recently, I had to take stock of all of the videos for a family project and I was ashamed.  #2, my monkey boy, had very little.  And I remember when I was a child, I use to LOVE watching home movies.  It was so much fun to see where I lived, how I played with my brother, the home décor.  So I vowed to change that this year.

Without getting crazy, I set a modest goal of 1 video a month.  And I wanted to try to focus on Monkey Boy, and both of the kids together.  But I would also do some family ones if the situation called for it.  And I wanted to try to exceed the goal if I could.

I would love for you to take a peek at my first effort:  January 2015.

Do you take a lot of video of your kids??  Share some secrets!!!
