Events are truly one of my favorite things to photograph. Yes, there can be a lot going on, and there is a quite a bit of hustling involved. But the family has all come together to celebrate, and I get a bit of time to be creative while I film. And I LOVE this part. I was so happy to be asked to photograph the baptism of this little boy.
The baptism was held and St. George’s Greek Orthodox church in Trenton NJ. I don’t think I have ever been to a Greek Orthodox church that was not gorgeous inside. The light, details, gold and murals are amazingly beautiful and it is always a pleasure to photograph in one. After the service, a wonderful reception was held at the Old York Country Club in Chesterfield. And to top it off, we were so blessed with the best weather of the spring. The cherry blossoms were out, the sun was shining, and the temperatures were in the 70’s. Could you ask for anything better?
The little man was such a trooper through the entire service. He didn’t even really cry during the actual baptism in the fount. And when he was being anointed with the oil, his mouth kept opening as if it was lunchtime (which it was actually!) and he wanted a taste.
