Mika contacted me wanting some headshots for social media. An amazing author, she needed to update her portrait and wanted something that showcased her true self.

The sessions move at such a different speed for me. I’m used to the hustle and bustle of an event, or the chaotic happiness of a family session. When I get to photograph a simple headshot portrait, I can slow down, really connect with the person, and there is such a happiness in my heart. I love hearing your story, your reason for the image, why you selected the wardrobe you did, and finally hearing your excitement as you see your images for the first time.
