Do you even remember a time when there was no Facebook? No Twitter? When you stood out in a crowd if you included a photo with your resume, that you actually gasp! had to mail in? This is an age of standing out in the crowd by whatever means possible. The has never been a greater need for something professionally different than now, when there are more college graduates every year vying for the jobs. Companies are looking for people who go that extra mile. As a photographer hired to photograph professionals, it is my job to create something that is representative of the style of work that you do, your own personal style, and something that will allow you to stand out.
Doing a standard head shot is harder than it looks typically…the background needs to be not distracting and lit properly to separate the subject and the subject needs to be crisp. That is obviously much easier to do in the studio, but sometimes clients want something different than a typical white or grey background. Music to my ears. We work together to choose location, clothing choices, and color palette to deliver a vision that reflects YOU. Of course an on-location headshot can have its own challenges {weather, lighting, etc}, but with those come great reward.
