When you are one, everyone is excited about your birthday. That special day is the culmination of an entire year’s worth of documentation, tracking milestones, taking lots of pictures, everyone comes to see you to celebrate. The whole she-bang. And then, each age is usually captured as a yearly family photo. Those in-between years and memories get stuck on a cell phone somewhere, and we maybe print out a few for holiday gifts, but usually not. I’m just as guilty of doing this…and mine are 8 and 5.
I love this family because every age is important. Every age gets its own photo shoot and we celebrate the year in style!
Happy two years to this little man. You gave me a run for it…literally! But I’m faster, and love seeing that smile over and over.
