1 snap a day│Day 21│project 365│NJ Family, Child, and Newborn Photographer

Day 21│Mommy Mondays
{simplicty}

Many of you have seen the first image last week…but I really wanted to include it for a Mommy Monday. I was so honored that JC&A Elite highlighted it on facebook on Friday.

I titled this one simplicity for a whole host of reasons.  I never get to do this with my daughter anymore.  I am usually holding the little mister, trying to get things done…and I count on her to be a ‘big girl’.  And I think the challenge sometimes with photography is keeping things simple.  I also think when you immediately change an image into black and white, you are simplifying it, which I love.  It eliminates distractions and focusing solely on the interaction that is happening.  And I also love that this 1 snap a day project is challenging me to view my kids without distraction.

Here are the details for both:  f4, 160sec, 800ISO, window light

Want to join me? This is a great way to not only document your family, and your life…but also to get creative and take better pictures. I resolve this year to be more present, in the moment, and grateful for what I have. And take better care of myself. Come on, what do you have do lose?
