Being asked back into a family’s home is a big deal. Especially when the event is such a miracle – the birth of another baby boy. You don’t get another chance at these first moments. Babies can change so very fast, and even siblings start to get ‘over’ the newness of having someone smaller than they are in the house. I was so happy to be asked back to capture this tiny boy, and even more so because I will see him throughout the year as a Grow with Me baby.
Why do I love coming to your home? Well, for starters, you are much more comfortable there – and so is baby. Everything you need to soothe, clothe and comfort him {and even brother and daddy} are right at your fingertips. Not sure what you wanted the color palette to be before I got there? Good thing you have the entire closet at your disposal so we can talk it out before I start shooting. And I’m very much a minimalist. All those details that you worked so hard to show off in the nursery will come through in the photos when I’m there, because I’m not going to clutter the frame with my own things.
And if you have other little members of your family, having the flexibility to bring them into the mix at different times during the session works out so much better. Why? It creates far better organic moments than I could ever plan for in a studio. There are so many changes that have happened in your family, I love being able to come in, find those little moments, and capture them for you.
I can’t wait to take this year-long journey with this family. In addition to a few sneak peeks from the session, make sure you scroll down and view the video.
Welcome to the world {lucas}. See you soon.
