Introducing my home studio.
I’m so excited to have finished my natural light home studio/office. It is 99% finished, save for a few more organizational items that I won’t bore you with. I always love seeing other people’s spaces…And I thought it would be a nice blog post to break out of my non-blogging rut. It seems I have been treating blogging like exercise…hence my silence. But I have been very busy behind the scenes and I plan on blogging more to let you in on what I have been up to!
I don’t have any before pictures of my studio because, well, it was not much to look at. This room doubles as a guest room in my house, so I needed it to be functional and easy to transition if needed. The room is long, so I have the freedom to move the couch and other furniture around wherever it is needed. I decided on a cool white paint for the entire room, to reflect the light everywhere. Sheers are on the French doors leading in to the room from my entry way. I also have the ability to put them up on the windows. It is light, bright, airy, and I love working in here now.
So, what will I be shooting in this space? While my #1 love is still on location, outside and in my client’s homes, I think this space will be wonderful for client consultations, to film children, or for newborn clients who do not desire an at-home session…AND for my new beauty sessions.
You can read more about The Beauty Studio by clicking on the link, but essentially the studio was created because I believe that every woman deserves to feel beautiful. Beauty has no age, this is for everyone. Its small slice out of your day designed specifically for you. For just you, or as a girl’s day out, to get pampered go get your hair and make-up done, and then meet up with me to film how amazing you are. It’s for the single gal looking for a unique gift for her boyfriend. It’s for a bride to give to her husband on her wedding day. It’s for the beautifully pregnant mom to be, to remember her body at such an amazing time in her life. And of course it’s for the busy mom of any age, who would love just a little time to remember what it feels like to get glammed up.
SO….here ya go. And if you want to see more of Beth’s beauty session {of course you do, see what’s it’s all about and show her some ♥} you can visit her post here. And of course it wouldn’t be complete with a pic {or 2} of my little Beth.
Thanks for reading, xo Jen
