Pregnancy is an amazing thing. It is one of the few things in life that when those 9 months are over, they are g.o.n.e. Every baby is different, every pregnancy is different, but what remains the same is that the time spent growing a baby inside of you is magic, and I love to celebrate that.
While all maternity shoots are different, it is a personal favorite of mine when there is a sibling whose excited to be an older brother or sister. It adds such a fun dimension for me. We play all kinds of games to engage him with the ‘bump’, and there is real bonding happening when you look at the images later. Big brother doesn’t know it yet, but his parents do, that his world is going to change. Because Mom and Dad have this inside knowledge, there is such a love in their eyes as they look on him, remembering him as a newborn, wondering about the one on the way. I’m there to focus on the baby growing in Mommy’s tummy, so the pressure is off of him for a little while, and we can just have fun. And finally, there’s mom. Glowing, beautiful, happy. Relieved for every moment that can be captured, and excited for the future.
