Turning 2 is a big deal! But it was such a treat to be able to travel to Brooklyn New York and celebrate this little munchkin’s 2nd birthday at Jane’s Carousel. The color scheme of gold and pink was everywhere, and when you added touches such as the little carousel horses and cowboy boots, it made for a beautiful and elegant celebration.
The carousel has been around since 1920! During Hurricane Sandy, the water came up onto the docks and submerged part of it. In the summer, the glass walls can be removed. To top it all off, you are flanked by 2 iconic bridges – the Brooklyn and Manhattan. What an amazing backdrop for this birthday girl.
The first few carousel rides, she was a bit unsure, but by the end, she was sitting by herself and loving it. It was so much fun for me to get to ride multiple times – I felt like a kid again.
And even though it was freezing, we got outside for a few pictures as the sun was setting…on the most perfect birthday celebration.
