Now that both of my kids are in school full time, I don’t get to post about them much anymore. School, activities, and a full shooting schedule prevent me from just pulling my camera out and capture our everyday. It shouldn’t be that way, I know. But for now, that is the reality and I take holidays such as Easter and Spring Break to get out my camera and capture my family.
I have lots of family in Maryland, and so the first part of spring break found my kids on vacation with my parents. I joined up with them mid-week and then we were all together for the Easter holiday. We had so much fun! Movies, mini golf, bowling, playing tourist in Washington DC and going to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Dyeing eggs, and then setting up for the hunt. I swear, I spend a hour filling the eggs and prepping the baskets…we were at 60 or so eggs this year! Then hiding them outside, only to have the hunt last for 5 minutes. But to see the smiles on their faces was such joy.
