Having photographed so many events for this family before, I knew what to expect. We meet up to get some family portraits, usually hugs and kisses are a given but on this day, we were social distancing due to COVID-19. Thank goodness we got access to the church before the stay at home orders were given. As of this writing, communions around the state are on hold. I feel for my families during this time <3
That being said, I have said many times before that I adore photographing milestone events for families. Baptisms and Communions are a favorite of mine, I love the ceremony that comes with a communion in a church that is special to the family. And I’m sure this comes through in how I photograph it too. It is an absolutely meaningful and beautiful service.
Once we are able to gather safely, the reception will be held at Trump National Golf Course in Bedminster NJ and I can’t wait. Until then, enjoy a sneak peek of the special communion for this family.
