There are so many reasons why I love photographing a family in their home. The kids are more relaxed and excited to show me their spaces. I get to find nooks and crannies to get creative. It doesn’t matter what the weather looks like outside. Which was good in this case, because winter has not been too kind here in NJ and this session was no exception. Rain, cold, dreary, snowy. Pretty much the entire winter so far. At least it wasn’t polar vortex cold.
I have had the pleasure of capturing this family two other times before but it was my first time meeting the newest member. Big brother just adored doting and kissing his little one, and at 3 months old, little man {C} had a personality all his own. They were so much fun to watch, and it was such a fun session for me. I love when families can just be fun together, and I definitely think it helps when you are in your own space.
