I got the call in February. Would I be interested in collaborating with the editors/owner of PrincetonKIDS magazine for the Spring 2014 On the go! Guide cover?
Um, yes!
PrincetonKIDS is a fabulous resource for local families… “to keep parents in the know and kids on the go!” Between the calendar option that shows what’s happening in the area on any given day of the week, to the resourceful sections of the website dedicated to finding out more information about sports, camps, or preschool open houses, PrincetonKIDS is a go-to for all local moms. Twice a year, the company distributes the bi-annual On the go! Guide to the greater Princeton area. The magazine can be found in doctors offices, library, shops around Princeton…pretty much anywhere families would go on a daily basis. And it is always chock-full of information and events.
The Spring 2014 is all about education. Brainstorming ideas for the cover, the editors and myself decided on a bookstore as the perfect location. A quick drive over to The Bear and the Books in Hopewell, NJ sealed the deal. Such a wonderful nook to find a book, cuddle up with your child, and get lost in all that this store has to offer. They even have Bear Mail, where once a month Bobbie {the owner} selects books based on the likes and interests of your children. What a wonderful gift idea!
It was a rainy morning the day of our shoot. Our beautiful cover model, Sarina lives in Robbinsville and attends second grade. She loves dance and pigs. Sarina was excited to get started, and so was I. It was a such a fun experience for her to get her hair done {thank you VC Salon in Robbinsville, NJ!} and get styled for the pictures.
I love how the cover came out!
There were so many other images that were a favorite of mine. Here are some of them!
Thank you so much to Sarina, for being so much fun to film! Thank you to The Bear and the Books for offering up your store as our shoot location. And thanks PrincetonKIDS for the opportunity.
