Bar & Bat Mitzvahs are taking on a new look lately with restrictions and safety in mind as we navigate what has become a new normal. Doing this may change how the celebrations look, and the plans being made, and how full the rooms are….but they do not diminish in any way the joy and love that is being shared from near and far for these families. The significance of this milestone is still the same, and my mitzvah clients are coming up with amazing ways to ensure they are still celebrated!
This family had to change plans 3 different times and settled on a beautiful service in their new home (that isn’t yet finished!). We started with portraits in the shul, and The Jewish Center in Princeton never disappointed with how welcoming they are. After a quick portrait session there, we went to their home and took portraits before the big day.
We started with a planting of dandelion seeds – a meaningful sign of life for this young lady. Then, the big moment! The service was filled with all things so meaningful to this tradition and this family. It was wonderful to see the zoom screen filled with faces from around the world! This young lady is wise beyond her years, and I was thrilled to be a part of their special day.
Enjoy this sneak peek of some of my favorites!
