Snow Day Fun, Top Robbinsville NJ Child Photographer

This past week has been a quiet one over here.  Long weekend, mixed with lots of half days at school…and sprinkle in some sniffles and bad sleep and we have all been feeling a touch SLOW.  This always happens to me after the busy season winds down.  I tend to not even pick up my camera at home.  I hibernate, recharge, update some things, and only shoot a few frames when I feel like it.

It just so happened on one of the days that we were home, it was snowing.  And the kids and I were all together doing some quiet activities in the family room and I decided to shoot for about 5 minutes.  Capture what they are into now.  For {E} it has been an obsession with knitting.  She can talk to you all about the different stitches, casting on and off, and what project she is going to do next.  And then 5 minutes later she is un-raveling her work and starting over.  {A} has taken to Legos for awhile now, but will actually sit and follow the directions on how to build things instead of waiting – read whining- for you to help him.

When I photograph the kids, I rarely make them look at me.  I’m just observing what they are doing at that moment and documenting it.  But when it has been awhile since I’ve had the camera in my hands, as was the case today, sometimes they will ask me to snap a few of them.  And who am I to say no??!!  Their features are always changing, and I love filming the serious, the silly, and the smiles all together.

So here is what 5 minutes of a snow day looked like – sleepy indoors style:
